Our Story

We are proud to be a family-owned and operated shoe store, celebrating over 70 years in business.

Our founders, Stan and Emerence Sajdak started Stan’s in 1950 with great passion and grit for quality footwear and making friends along the way. 

Their son, Jim Sajdak took his parents’ single store and through vision and support of his wife Susan and family, continued to take risks to grow Stan’s to what it is today:

Stan’s Fit For Your Feet in Brookfield, Greenfield, & Glendale, Goodmiles Running Company in Brookfield & Greenfield, and The Vionic Store in Brookfield and Stansfootwear.com. In 2022 our company expanded into Illinois as we acquired Waxberg’s Walk Shoppe.

Together Jim, Susan and their 4 adult children Andy, David, Megan, and Ben own the business and have made Stan’s vision their life passion. Stan’s is a true family business and is grateful to our Milwaukee community and beyond for supporting us for the last 70 years!
